Sheikh Zayed City is a modern Egyptian city of the second generation. Sheikh Zayed City is located in Giza Governorate. It is a city belonging to the New Urban Communities Authority. Sheikh Zayed City was established by Presidential Decree of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt No. 325 in 1995. The city was established with a grant from the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development - known as the Sheikh Zayed Grant - and was therefore named Sheikh Zayed City in honor of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Sheikh Zayed City is one of the suburbs of Greater Cairo. And the height of the city above sea level is about 220 meters, and therefore it is characterized by a mild climate.
